Good Morning loves! I hope you all have had an amazing week and are taking this time to relax and enjoy your weekend. This week I though it would be fun to write a travel tips post, Barcelona edition! I have absolutely fallen in love with Spain since arriving in Madrid but I am completely infatuated with Barcelona [I’m planning on moving here for a year after graduation!]. So sit back, relax, sip on some coffee and I hope you enjoy this post 💃🏻✨
There are so many options for travel when arriving to the city, and the amount of parks and museums available to the public will surely blow you away. The first step is navigating your routes on the Metro!
Once you know where you want to go, pack your bags and make sure you have the key “ingredients” to a full fledged day of adventure! Your phone/camera, money, metro map and city map, snacks to get you through meals, change for the knick-knacks sold on the street, and a light cover up in case the weather cools down while you’re out and about.
What I learned after about an hour in the city is that there are hundreds of building and performers you’ll want to snap photos of, so keep a camera handy! Wear comfortable shoes so you can explore the city and make the most of your time in Barcelona.

We turned a corner and found an array of food booths!
While walking down Las Ramblas you’ll soon encounter St. Josep market where there around multiple booths of food stations. The colorful fruit assortments caught my attention and I purchased two for 1€ [a true bargain]!
When visiting the Barcelona Pavilion you have to see the beautiful architecture designed by Mies Van der Rohe, it costs about 3€ to access the pavilion but it is well worth the investment [and the selfies].
A HUGE favorite of mine has to be Parc Guell, another beautiful Gaudi masterpiece. I first fell in love with this site while watching the Cheetah Girls movie – it was quite amazing to see the city from such a grand distance and soak in the view!
But the best of all – Temple Expiadori de la Sagrada Familia. I was truly in awe with this site and I really cannot stop smiling. I highly suggest purchasing your ticket ahead of time and including the tower entrance if you’d like to go up to the top of one of the towers and look over the city. An audio tour is included with the admission and explains the design process of this magnificent work of art by Gaudi. The stained glass windows shed rays of colored light into the basilica and will surely take your breath away.
